Why Submit to the Kit?

Some ideas gestate for years and some just come out of the ether like a whack to the top of the egg.
This ebook and the idea to invite my peers to collaborate came to me on a hot and humid summer night as my bladder tugged me to make a move to the toilet... Some awesome ideas just lack that romantic ideal we hear about in the history books. This is one of those great ideas.

The plain white box (the kit) contains everything you can imagine you need to generate, refine and evaluate ideas. With this in mind the box is vast and the space contained within breaks away from the volume we have come to understand in a box....

My intention is to make the 'virtual kit' simple to digest and as complete as possible over the next 24 months with the help of you the author, you the trainer, you the facilitator, you the inventor and you the teacher.

The kit is the 'it and a bit' of brainstorming.

There are three great reasons for this book to be:

1. By inviting collaboration and sharing my ideas, I encourage discussion with new, interesting people.
2. By giving this ebook away for free, I leave room for imperfection. I can put up the free version online and update it whenever I find it necessary. A printed version can follow when 'perfection' is realized.
3. With your contribution I turns into WE. We create, we give, we inspire, we benefit, and we create a network in which information, ideas, and energy can travel in new and wonderful ways.
   

I'm confident this publication will seed a garden of new ideas that will benefit society and the gift of creativity and mental literacy shall bring forth a remarkable future. Oh, and I am sure they will come in handy in my career.

Collaborative Ebook. The Offer:

This is a crowdsourced ebook. I invite you to submit content for a fresh new project called The Brainstorming Kit. Version 1.0 has a release date of July 1 2010.

The ebook kit will be always be free and upgraded once or twice a year. It's an evolutionary product and it's a gift of creativity to all. If we develop a hard copy in the future, all profits will go to a charity voted on by all the contributors and authors. Perhaps in the future a business version, a community building version and an education version of the kit would be appropriate? What do you think? Any ideas you'd like to freely contribute at this stage? Let me know your thoughts.

How you will benefit:

• What you know, what you're passionate about, what works, and what you dream the whole world can benefit from understanding and using.
• New or old as long as it is tried, tested and you own the rights.
• On topic. Ideation, Brainstorming, Creative Problem Solving, Concept Evaluation, Creative Strategy, or Surprise me...
